How to stop the cold getting in or getting out or the heat getting in or getting out – it couldn’t be that hard a problem to solve.
The problem was how to disconnect the outside of the windows and the framing from the inside. Completely, and affordably.
We saw double-paned glass arrive in 1979 and that was supposed to solve the curtain wall leak. It helped. But still, curtain walls were tremendously inefficient for everyone from architects to tenants. Surprisingly, the problem was not in the glass.
After working on this for several years, we founded FreMarq Innovations in 2016 to isolate the solution to this problem, engineer it, patent it and then make it available to all the nation’s architects and builders.
For too long, a general misconception in the industry was that 100% efficient curtain walls were impossible. For a while, that was true – a thermal break that truly did its job and was economical wasn’t available to the market.
This was partly because we belong to an industry that lobbies to keep the codes the same as they’ve been for decades because it’s too expensive or difficult to adhere to (or exceed) the codes that are needed – codes that will result in Carbon Neutral Buildings before 2030.
It was time someone created the curtain wall that architects, builders, and owners have become convinced cannot be made.
Unquestionably. In fact, it’s done. You can have one tomorrow.

Who We Are
Providing a Leap Forward in Performance
FreMarq Innovations is changing how the commercial building industry views thermal performance. As an innovative curtain wall company, we specialize in designing new framing systems, enhancing the overall assembly’s performance by focusing on the thermal performance of the frame. Our systems use patent-protected thermal barriers that provide industry-leading condensation resistance and thermal performance, while our business model allows us to collaborate with the installer, architect, and general contractor in order to exceed expectations and future code.
