Decarbonizing Commercial Buildings With High-Performance Curtain Walls
The problem: Commercial window systems have traditionally been the most inefficient part of the building envelope.
“About $20,000,000,000 (BILLION) leaks out of windows in the United States each winter.” – Julie Chao, Berkeley Lab
The Industry’s Response: We saw double-pane glass become widely used in the 1970’s – which was supposed to solve these inefficiencies. It helped… but still, commercial windows were tremendously inefficient for everyone from architects to tenants. Surprisingly, the problem was not in the glass. Over the last 50+ years, there have been many additional improvements to glass and minor improvements to the framing components of commercial windows in hopes to solve this problem.
The Solution: In 2015, Todd Frederick, Renea Frederick, and Dale Marquardt founded FreMarq Innovations with a mission to solve this problem. After years of continuous research and design, they designed a thermal break technology that would completely isolate the inefficiencies in commercial window systems and significantly reduce the thermal transfer from the interior to the exterior of a building.
The Future: FreMarq’s goal is to design window systems that perform like walls.
ADVENTUROUS?
Unquestionable.
REBELLIOUS?
Absolutely.
ACHIEVABLE?
Yes. Anything is possible with the right team. We have that team.
Who We Are
Providing a Leap Forward in Performance
FreMarq Innovations is changing how the built environment views thermal performance. As an innovative high-performance curtain wall company, we specialize in enhancing the overall assembly’s performance by focusing on the thermal performance of the frame. Our Zero•Net™ window systems use our FortMax™ thermal barrier which provides industry-leading thermal performance to help building owners reduce their carbon footprint and save substantial dollars on energy costs.
